A Day in The Life:
The CST Western Europe Business Process Improvement Senior Director supports the Vice President, CST International in developing, executing, and monitoring critical Business Operations initiatives, as well as the leadership of the Inside Sales team, responsible for sales of Service & Repair contracts.
The CST Western Europe Business Process Improvement Senior Director is the leader of two existing teams and will be tasked with the buildout of a third. This includes the Business Operations team which is based partially at the European Operations Center (EOC) in Heerlen, The Netherlands, and partially, locally in Western European markets, where the Local Business Operations (LBOs) staff is based. It also includes the leadership of the Inside Sales team, based at the CMILL Medtronic facility, also in Heerlen, The Netherlands. The CST Western Europe Business Process Improvement Senior Director also works on building out a new team, which will manage the execution of MDR Compliance, and in particular conversion of non-sterile to sterile inventory. The new team will also be based within markets, dedicated to certain regions.
The CST Western Europe Business Process Improvement Senior Director is a member of the CST International Leadership team and works closely with all members of the Leadership team, in particular the Sales Directors, partnering on small and large capital deals to include service & repair contracts, and highly influencing optimal management of our field inventory. The CST Western Europe Business Process Improvement Senior Director also works closely crossfunctionally with key internal partners and leaders within Customer Care, Spine Operations, Supply Chain, and Service & Repair, located both at EOC & CMILL Medtronic facilities The Netherlands, as well as within regions of Western Europe.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Designs and manages business operation mechanisms for CST Western Europe, including inventory management of both the loaner and consignment business models
Drive operational excellence and enable continuous improvement, promoting efficiencies, synergies and team engagement throughout the process to ensure the success of key initiatives.
Inform, develop and execute stakeholder management plans that accelerate change, drive alignment, foster collaboration and realize synergies across the organization. Conduct briefings with senior leadership regarding critical initiatives, goals and outcomes. Act as a spokesperson and orchestrate communication for multiple initiatives. Serve as a liaison across the organization.
Directs day-to-day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations.
Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures and financial analysis.
Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key Business Processes.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Implements correct order type processing for both loaner and consignment business, including the execution of consignment contracts.
Improve inventory count and accuracy and establish disciplined and timely cycle count execution.
Remotely sells Medtronic's products and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.
Identify, develop and close leads for the business and refer on internal leads when appropriate.
Provides input on new markets, new product introductions, and existing products or supplies.
Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
Manages and responds to customer concerns and problems.
Arranges demonstration of products by field sales representatives.
Assists the field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities as well as providing on-going sales support including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up.
Key Skills & Experience:
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience leading and managing the execution of programs and processes or Advanced Degree or MBA with a minimum of 8 years of experience leading and managing the execution of programs and processes
Nice to Have:
Experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations in healthcare.
Experience in medical devices or healthcare
Experience leading or managing teams
Change Management experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Demonstrated success in people or program management
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across a matrix environment
Experience generating creative new ideas and strategies
Experience managing large scale councils and committees
Strong business and financial acumen
Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex strategies and data in a clear and concise manner
