Worldwide Sales Manager
Job Description: As the Worldwide Sales Manager, you will oversee a global team of 150 technicians stationed in over 350 ports, ensuring vessel safety and compliance around the clock. Are you enthusiastic about the maritime industry? Are you skilled at identifying emerging business prospects, devising effective strategies, and setting goals to maximize business growth? As a Worldwide Business Development Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our customers' experiences.
The Worldwide Business Development Manager is a proactive sales professional with a deep understanding of the maritime industry. This role involves engaging customers, both existing and potential, to expand our product and service offerings. With expertise in the maritime sector, the successful candidate will identify sales opportunities and capitalize on them to drive business growth.
Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy in line with company objectives.

  • Identify and target potential customers, generating new leads and expanding our customer base.

  • Promote company products and services to increase requests for quotations (RFQs).

  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of customers.

  • Manage sales calls and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management.

  • Conduct consultative sales to understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions from our product portfolio.

  • Negotiate contracts to enhance relationships and business opportunities with existing customers.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.

  • Schedule and conduct regular meetings with customers, reporting results and planning future actions to the team and management.

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer service.

  • Hand over closed-won business opportunities to the operations and finance teams efficiently.

  • Monitor sales activities, track performance metrics, and prepare accurate reports for management review.

  • Respond promptly to all sales leads and correspondence.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or account management experience in the maritime sector.

  • Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or key account management within the marine equipment industry.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with technical experience considered advantageous.

  • Proficient in written and spoken business English, with fluency in a second language preferred.

  • Strong cultural awareness and empathy.

  • Tech-savvy skills are beneficial.
